Strolling at UP Diliman
This is the continuation of my Manila Trip I had last year. So here I am blogging about University of the Philippines in Diliman. I remember that I saw old pictures of my mom and her cousins with their pictures with the Oblation monument. Warning: lots of pictures below.

My Enchanted Kingdom Experience
A trip to Manila was considered a birthday treat for myself, perhaps the most expensive. Well, it's quite late since it was on November 29 I left from Cebu. The reason I went to Manila is just to experience Enchanted Kingdom. LOL
On December 1, 2012, it was a weekend and there were a lot of people. Mostly were students because of their field trip wearing their PE Uniforms. Of course, it was a long weekend holiday and Christmas Season, families grabbed the opportunity to enjoy Enchanted Kingdom.

My First Ever Manila Trip
Few days before November ended, I was away from home and haven't blog so this will be my first blog post for December. Where was I? Oh well, I was in Manila, my first ever trip far, far, away from Cebu.
A friend from high school, Claire, invited me for this trip last October since she's living in Manila. So I grabbed the opportunity because travel to Manila and going to Enchanted Kingdom were on my Plans and Goals + To-Do List. Hehe!

Manila's Flood Reason
It took how many days before the flood went out. There were questions why Manila was flooded for long days when in fact typhoon Ondoy was on it's way out of the country. A geodetic engineer who is an expert said that it is because of the drainage system of Manila. The people who started the project of wrong drainage system did not consult them. Water can't flow immediately through the rivers like Pasig river because of it's narrow drainage and that's why water was block within the area. He compared Manila as a heart which is having a heart attack that blood flows to a section of heart muscle and blocked. The only solution is having a heart bypass, he said, by making drainage through Manila Bay and/or Laguna de Bay. If another typhoon comes, the flood tragedy will not ever happen again.

Storm Ondoy Hits Manila
The weather was so cruel in the past few days and even yesterday. It was very windy with very light rain and later heavy rain poured then there was no electricity in some provinces of Cebu. When I turned on the tv, I was shocked by the news I've seen on ABS-CBN, floods all over the place especially in Pasig, Marikina and Rizal. Water was already chest-deep. The rest of Luzon areas are also affected. ABS-CBN are busy with their telethon calling and receiving calls from businessmen and ordinary people with their donations in helping the stranded people in the area.
