Two Brand New Laptops in Two Days

Last few days of January was really a mess regarding with my online job. My desktop computer was a pain in the ass by the time I was re-sizing a photo in Adobe Photoshop with high resolution. The moment I was going to save it, I couldn't because of the low memory of my desktop. My net book was being used by my partner for another project so I couldn't disturb him.

My desktop computer is already five years old and I'm proud to say that I've been earning from it. So I guess it's time to move on. I had no choice but to buy a laptop. Although I need to upgrade some parts of my system unit or buy another one, it's bulky in my mini office. I could not imagine having two desktop computers. Well, having a laptop is really a part of my wish list. Yes, this is a good investment.

1st Day - I got a HP laptop

The next day, it was Jan. 30, 2013, my partner and I went to SM City Cebu and searched for laptops. Just to make the story short, I purchased HP Pavilion G4. Beside HP was Lenovo and I was eyeing for it. I thought HP was a value for money because I paid for 29K with a backpack, free printer and genuine OS. At the store, it looks okay, we couldn't see any problem but when I used it at home I just found the problem.

Using an iPad and a Netbook

Few days ago, I was able to use an iPad and just borrowed it from my cousin because she is using my netbook for blogging.  While using the iPad, I opened my Facebook account, Twitter, reading my blogs and other blogs.  You know, just a simple web browsing.

As I was using it for few minutes to an hour, I got bored because I can't do the things what I love to do on my netbook MSI Wind 100 Plus.  It has the same function with my Samsung Galaxy Y, an android phone. But the advantage of the iPad, it has a wider screen.

An iPad is more fun to use when you put game apps.  An iPad is meant for entertainment although you can still use it for business presentation.

I can't do my online job with an iPad.  I still prefer using my netbook.  In my part, an iPad is a disadvantage for me.  iPad is very expensive and not a good investment as of the moment.  Maybe I'll going to buy it when it gets cheaper, for entertainment only. I mean real, real, real, cheap!

So which do you prefer, an iPad or a Netbook?

Halo Mobile Clothing at SM City Cebu

When I got my Samsung Galaxy Y for my birthday I was really looking for cellphone case but found nothing.  Although I know how to make one by crocheting but I have no time to make it because I am really busy with my online job and home-based business.

I was strolling around SM last December 9, 2011 and found Halo Mobile Clothing in SM Cyberzone.  You can choose a variety of design for P249.  They have bags for laptop, camera and casing for your portable hard disk drive.

The Advantage of Dual SIM Phone

I've got to say bye bye to my previous phone, Nokia 6030, the first cellphone I've ever bought from my own money.  It served for 4 years and 7 months already.  Actually, it is still working and my sister is using it right now.  She just interchanged the battery from my mom's cellphone to the other.  The problem of my old Nokia is the charging thingy.  Instead of a repair I decided to buy a new phone which is the Nokia 101.

My 1 Year and 19 Days Old Netbook MSI Wind U100 Plus

Last September 29, 2011 was the birthday of my boyfriend and also the day my MSI Wind U100 Plus netbook is already a year old.  I named this Rave after my boyfriend's nickname.  If you could see the previous photos, right now it is so very dusty. Ha ha ha! I think I am already too lazy to clean it.

So far, I have no problem using this net book aside from a time that it was so slow to respond.  I think it is because my desktop are so messy with the files.  It is all cluttered and I haven't clean them yet.  I can only work on this when I am writing an article outside but there are times, my sister uses this for browsing.

I've been thinking to buy a laptop for another investment.  I don't know when will it happen.

Happy Valentine's Day 2011

Before I knock myself off to bed, I just want to greet everyone Happy Valentine's to all!  Well, I just want to show you my desktop with a note written on it.  These are gadgets I got from Microsoft.

If you are using Windows 7, just click your mouse "right click" then find Gadgets.  After that, another window pops up then click "Get more gadgets online."

That's all, I have nothing to write as of now because I am so sleepy.  Good night and once again Happy Valentine's Day.

My Asahi Electric Fan

In just same year, I have purchased an electric fan worth almost Php700.  I thought that was way cheap but I was wrong.  It even had six months warranty but after six months, my electric fan broke down.  My room is so hot without electric fan.  Same day with the Samsung Home Theater, I also bought an electric fan worth Php819.75 from Asahi.  It is the best deal ever because it has a service warranty of the motor for 5 years.  I admit I got penniless with the first electric fan I had.

My Samsung LCD TV

Before meeting my friends during the Cabalen food trip last October 30, 2010, I hurriedly went to SM Home Appliance Northwing to check out the LCD tv.  That was the time I asked for the prices for the brands of Sony, Samsung, and LG.

My Pink Olympus FE-26 Digital Camera

I am so thankful that my sponsor gave me money to buy a digital camera. Yesterday, I went to SM City Cebu and purchased a Pink Olympus FE-26 digital camera. Five days before I bought the item, I was roaming around SM, went to Cyberzone and looked for the cheapest but good quality camera. My aunt already had an Olympus camera and I like the quality of the images. There at Micro Accent, I found stocks of camera displayed on their window and I got the brochure for me to see. The cheapest camera they have is worth Php6,995 which is the Olympus FE-26. I went home and I let my aunt take a look with the brochure. I already saved Php3,000 and I just need additional Php4,000. The day she went back to Norway, she left the money to my mom.

Yesterday, I withdrew Php3,000 from my atm and was really excited to buy the camera. We arrived at Micro Accent together with my partner and asked for the Olympus FE-26. The camera has four colors: pink, blue, black and silver but unfortunately, black is no more available, which should be my first choice. That's why I chose pink.

I was even happier that I saved Php2,000 because the Olympus FE-26 is on sale, from Php6,9995 now Php4,995. I just added Php1,000 for it. What a big smile on my face??? The sales staff said that they are having a graduation sale. Wow! Perfect timing for me!

Olympus FE-26 has 12 megapixel, 3x optical zoom, intelligent auto, face detection, beauty mode, dual image stabilization and magic filters.

My Cellphone is Back

Yes! My cellphone is alive. Actually it happened on Monday, the same day, when my phone got okay. I thought I was going to lose it and have to buy for another mobile. Gosh! Thank goodness. I really treasured this phone because this is the evidence of my hard work on my first job, a part-time job, actually. It's going to celebrate it's third year on February! ^^

I am Saving for a Digital Camera

Hmmm... I am frustrated every time I go to shopping malls and walked on by in a camera shop. When I was a kid, I really want to be a photographer but it's impossible. I bought my a camera with my own expenses when I was in high school. It was just a manual camera, Konica Centuria 10, with film on it. Now the flash had been broken and I had never fixed it since. I can only use it on daytime or outdoor. Also, I am tired of going to photo centers to have my pictures develop.

My manual camera is still alive even though I only seldom use it is because I have to buy a film and pay for it to have it develop. There are still snapshots not yet develop and the film isn't through yet. I think I took these one or two years ago.

A digital camera is very expensive at least Php 4,000.00 unlike with the manual which is Php 1,000.00 and below. The advantage of a digital camera is you can easily scan the pics you want to reject or save it on your computer and upload it to the world wide web like in your own blogs and to social networking sites.

My purpose is to take pictures when I'm travelling, the beautiful sceneries itself. I just wish somebody will give donations. Hahaha! I hope so! ^_^

Have Fun with PLDT Watchpad

photo from Nuffnang.com

When I was a kid, I always dreamed to have a cable tv so that I could watch Cartoon Network everyday. Unfortunately, my parents cannot afford it. Now that I am older, I got interested on educational shows like National Geographic and I became a fan of movies. I knew there were lots I have never watched before and I knew I can only find it on cable and I won't spend renting dvd's. Today, I have an internet connection and I searched for movies to download. My father also requested me to look for quality films because he really enjoys it. My family loves watching here in our computer. Actually, it really takes time to download.

Recently, PLDT myDSL launched the PLDT Watchpad. This the new technology introduced by Philippine Long Distance Telephone company for the subscribers for easy access of watching TV over the internet. Globe's Immortal Text

I admire Globe's new promo which is the Immortal Text. For a cellphone user like me who has a tight budget, the promo suits me these days. I am a busy person right now and honestly, I was a text addict, text here, there and everywhere. But now with a busy schedule, I can't find time to text my friends, family and my boyfriend (hahaha!). If I register to unlimited texting, it would be a waste of money for I only seldom send messages nowadays.

With this new promo, I am happy about it for I don't have to worry the expiration of my load. The registration fee is also cheap. Php 10.00 for the registration and Php 1.00 for maintaining balance. I could use it for 2-3 days.

For globe users, you can check their site. Just click below:
